Luxury Family Holidays in April

If you're looking for a family holiday in April, the Caribbean comes in to its own this timeof year with tropical sunshine providing a wonderful relief from the grim UK winter.  Despite its year on year appeal the lesser visited islands and resorts offer good deals during the Easter holidays and once Easter has passed, low season rates kick in across the entire region.

You cannot go wrong with The Indian Ocean and for those with little ones, many resorts offer baby and toddler care including The Heritage le Telfair in Mauritius which has the first baby club in the Indian Ocean. Night flights from the UK and short transfers make travel a breeze.  If you believe that the journey is all part of the experience, consider the Maldives with its spectacular reefs, seaplane transfers and underwater magic kingdom.  Once considered the playground for the rich, the Indian Ocean has embraced the concept of all-inclusive rates making it a much more affordable place in which to have a luxury family holiday without compromising on quality. Velassaru in the Maldives is a great example of a Maldivian resort that won’t break the bank.  For Indian Ocean with a splash of wildlife and adventure, head to The Seychelles in April.

We love the oriental mix of culture, wildlife and adventure in Malaysia for a luxury family holiday.  Try an eco adventure in Kota Kinabalu in Sabah (Borneo) or the virtually uninhabited coral reef Gaya Island just off the coast.  Young eco warriors will love the jungle, rainforest, beach and reefs.
