For a great coffee, delicious lunch and delectable cakes, Deli-licious and Le Bon Vivant (LBV) are both wonderful cafes just a short stroll away, and the nearby 'Night Markets' offer a great hang-out for locals and visitors, with a tantalising range of mouth-watering dishes.

If your daily goal is to laze by the infinity edge pool and marvel at the magical lagoon views, you’ll be in heaven here. Equally, if your idea of paradise involves a little more action, Muri Beach and the lagoon more than deliver – the snorkelling, sailing and wind-surfing here are second to none

Sitting right on beautiful Muri Beach, with verdant mountains behind, the six villas at Te Vakaroa enjoy uninterrupted views of the lagoon, outer reef and horizon. Relax in the infinity pool and watch your children play on the white sand or take a kayak out for some family fun on the warm sea. Explore the island by jeep (it takes about an hour to circumnavigate Rarotonga’s 20 mile coastline), learn about the island’s culture and its people on a legendary nature walk into the lush interior or hop over to Eden-like Aitutaki island for the day.

Te Vakaroa’s split-level two-bedroom villas are perfect for families. Sitting above the three one-bedroom villas, the two-bedroom villas take full advantage of the far-reaching lagoon views. Each villa features a fully fitted kitchen, a spacious living area and a large terrace with ocean views and comfortable seating for 8 people on the first floor, and two gorgeous bedrooms upstairs, each with an ensuite. A delicious breakfast is delivered to your villa each day, and many restaurants and cafes are within walking distance for those not wishing to self-cater. Or choose to have mouthwatering meals delivered to your villa from Sails Restaurant at next door’s Rarotonga Sailing Club.
