Twenty luxury air-conditioned villas are perfectly positioned along a 65-metre-high dune to command 180-degree panoramas. Each private retreat features a king sized bed and open-air ensuite, complete with dual vanities and a free-standing bath tub for bathing in the Kimberley moonlight. And beyond the dramatic glass frontage, the occasional seating and daybed on your deck beckons you to laze away an afternoon.
As with all other areas of the lodge Dunes, the lodge’s restaurant enjoys abasing views of the Kimberley coastline. Dining is casual yet decadent with breakfasts cooked to order and lunch and dinners menus paired with Australian wines.
The main lodge is just a short stroll from your villa, where you can cool off in the 20-metre lap pool; lounge with a book or magazine from the lodge library. Beyond the lodge there are many ways to immerse yourself in the rich natural beauty of Berkeley River and the Kimberley wilderness beyond. Take a guided hike straight from the lodge or join a cruise up the Berkely River and enjoy a hike to Casuarina Falls and a cooling dip in the secluded waterholes of Berkeley Creek. The perfect spot to see native flora and fauna, from saltwater crocodiles to rock wallabies and birds of prey. Fishing is a big draw with an impressive array of species, from queen fish, threadfin salmon and mulloway to the elusive barramundi. Jump aboard the lodge’s helicopter to venture beyond the four wheel drive tracks to see the unmissable King George and Mitchell Falls.
