Lan Ha Bay Cruise – Heritage Ginger

On your first day, enjoy lunch in Ginger’s rooftop dining room, offering panoramic views of the passing scenery. Ginger’s chef will lead an interactive cooking class in the open kitchen, where you learn about delicious local ingredients and how to prepare traditional Vietnamese recipes you can imitate at home. Enjoy cocktails under the stars before a delightful dinner is served. From here you can watch a movie or join the Ginger crew for squid fishing before retiring to your room for the evening. In the morning, a hearty breakfast is served in the dining room (or on request served to your room) before you journey back to the pier.

Rooms have a warm and elegant feel, with each spacious suite enjoying a private balcony, marble bathrooms including bathtub and antique décor contrasting beautifully with more contemporary furnishings. The six light-filled Junior Suites offer a separate lounge area, bathtubs overlooking the sights of the bay and the walls are decorated with hand painted scenery. Signature Suites are located on the upper deck and feature warm and flowery tones. The two Regent Suites are the highest indulgence with 50sqm of floor space, a jacuzzi, handmade lacquer panels and colonial furniture.

During the cruise, there is plenty of leisure time to enjoy activities both onboard and around the fantastical scenery of Halong Bay. Take a plunge in the pool or pamper yourself at the Lady Ginger spa. On the first day you will disembark onto Cat Ba Island where you will then hop on bikes for a tour along small paved roads towards a quiet village nestled in a valley. Meet and greet local villagers and see their daily life at home, school, and work. On the second day you have the option to wake up early and join a Tai Chi session on the sundeck and after breakfast cruise towards Tra Bau where you can kayak through the impressive karst landscape.
