The camp’s four unique Nests are inspired by the woven homes of Zambia’s weaver birds, with their organic, cocoon-like design blending naturally into the surrounding woodland. Raised above the ground, each Nest offers a private and immersive way to experience the Busanga Plains, with comfortable interiors, en-suite facilities and plenty of space to relax after a day on safari. The design is deliberately low-impact, using natural materials and solar power to keep the camp off-grid while still offering the comforts you’d expect from a luxury safari stay.

There’s plenty to keep you busy at Chisa Busanga, with a great mix of classic and more adventurous safari experiences. Game drives and e-cruiser safaris explore the open Busanga Plains, while e-bikes offer a fun, eco-friendly way to get out into the wilderness at a slower pace. Guided walking safaris get you closer to the smaller details of the bush, from tracks and plants to insects and birds, while birding is particularly rewarding, with the wetlands and grasslands attracting a huge variety of species. One of the highlights is enjoying meals out in the bush, whether it’s breakfast overlooking the plains or a relaxed lunch in a beautiful wilderness setting, making the landscape as much a part of the experience as the food itself.
