Hemingways River Camp

Set right on the banks of the Njageteck River in the private Mara North Conservancy, Hemingways River Camp offers an authentic, intimate safari away from the busier parts of the Maasai Mara. With just eight tents, it feels peaceful and wonderfully connected to the wilderness, with wildlife often coming down to the river to drink.

The conservancy is rich in wildlife, including elephants, buffalo, giraffe, zebra and big cats. Expect classic under-canvas living, excellent guiding with fewer vehicles and a more exclusive safari experience.

The eight tents have a classic, understated safari style, with natural materials, canvas, warm tones and simple, elegant details that blend beautifully into the bush. The classic tents are cosy and intimate, while the spacious Family Suite is designed with families in mind. The Private Suite offers extra space and privacy, with its own living area and a more exclusive feel.

Play

Days are spent exploring the Mara on morning and afternoon game drives, with walking and fun bush activities for children. For a special perspective, guests can also take to the skies on a hot-air balloon safari, floating over the plains at sunrise. This is available at an additional cost.
