  • Eagles Nest

    Days 1-3 Eagles Nest, Bay of Islands

    On arrival into Auckland, take the pleasant stroll to the domestic terminal and board your flight to Kerikeri in the Bay of Islands. From there, collect your car and drive to your fabulous hillside home for the next 3 nights - Eagles Nest. Treat yourselves to a chef for the evening as you sit on your private deck and soak up the endless ocean views. If you're feeling a little jet-lagged, you can opt to have a platter and a bottle of delicious local wine waiting for you in the fridge to enjoy at your leisure. Spend your days exploring the local area, perhaps take a cruise out to one of the many islands dotted in the vast bay, learn about the history of NZ with a fascinating visit to the Waitangi Treaty Grounds, fly in a light aircraft above the impressive coastline to the tip of the North Island at Cape Reinga, and return each evening to watch the sunset from your villa on the hill.

  • Days 4-5 Craggy Range, Hawke's Bay

    Feeling refreshed and rejuvenated after your stay in the beautiful Bay of Islands, you'll fly from Kerikeri to Napier today and collect your hire car for the easy drive to Craggy Range at the foothills of Te Mata Peak. Your cottage is nestled right in the heart of the vines, with expansive views of rolling hills all around. A popular vineyard to visit by day, you'll have the vines to yourself (sharing with just a handful of other guests!) come evening.  The on-site restaurant, Le Terroir, is sensational, so be sure to pre-book dinner for at least one night! Craggy Range is on the doorstep of numerous activities including horse-riding on Waimarama Beach, penguin and gannet viewing, cycle trails, hot air ballooning and exploring nearby Napier with its fun Art Deco scene... not forgetting the world class vineyards, championship golf courses and fantastic fishing spots!

  • Days 6-7 The Martinborough Hotel, Martinborough

    A 3 hour drive south brings you to charming Martinborough today, where you'll spend 2 glorious nights at the the historic Martinborough Hotel. This is quite a different wine experience to Hawke’s Bay – and most of Martinborough’s leading wineries are within walking distance of the village square. The Bistro restaurant & bar is renowned for its superb gourmet cuisine which features fresh local produce complemented, of course, by local award-winning wines.

  • New Zealand - Bolton Hotel Chapel

    Days 8-9 Bolton Hotel, Wellington

    It’s just a one hour drive to New Zealand’s capital city, Wellington, today. Stay at the centrally located, fresh and stylish Bolton Hotel. A ‘must’ in Wellington is a visit to Te Papa – the country’s national museum which tells the fascinating stories of New Zealand and its people in a unique and innovative way. Another highlight is a guided culinary tour of the capital with local specialist ‘Zest Food Tours’... go ‘behind the scenes’ to meet the owners, baristas and chefs of Wellington's top cafes and restaurants - and even roast your own coffee beans! Sample tasty local delights before dining at Wellington's fabulous Logan Brown restaurant.

  • Days 10-11 Hapuku Lodge, Blenheim & Kaikoura

    Enjoy the beautiful 3 hour ferry crossing to the South Island today – the scenery as you enter the Marlborough Sounds is spectacular! On arrival in Picton, it is just a short drive to Blenheim in the heart of the renowned Marlborough wine area. Home to some of the finest Sauvignon Blanc producers in the world, wineries include Cloudy Bay, Villa Maria and Spy Valley - this is the perfect place to stop for lunch en route to Kaikoura. Try the area's hidden gem, Herzog's Cellar Door Bistro - for some delicious treats! Continue onwards to Kaikoura (90 mins south) and check in to your Treehouse at Hapuku Lodge for the next 2 nights. Food is a highlight at Hapuku, and you can't leave without trying Fiona's delicious crayfish (lobster).

  • Days 12-15 Azur Lodge, Queenstown

    Drive two hours to Christchurch and drop your car before boarding your flight to Queenstown. Not only is this the Adventure Capital of NZ - you'll an exciting activity to suit everyone here - it is also a haven for wonderful wineries. Savour fabulous Pinot Noir at some of the vineyards close to town and meander along the lively town's streets and lanes sampling the fantastic cuisine on offer at the many bars, cafes and restaurants. Everything from fine dining to casual fare is on offer here, and for pizza, you can't be the locally famous Cow restaurant and for cocktails head to The Bunker. In nearby Arrowtown, you'll experience culinary delights at Saffron Restaurant - listed in Conde Nast Traveller's 100 Best Tables in the World. You'll spend the next 4 nights at Azur Lodge, a stylish retreat with lake views just a few minutes from the heart of the town.
