Haumana Cruises - Small and intimate cruise
Explore the idyllic islands of Bora Bora, Raiatea and Taha’a in true Polynesian style aboard this small and intimate catamaran. The Haumana experience is all about personal service and a convivial ambience, with 24 guests in 11 cabins and one suite, hosted by 13 Polynesian crew members. Famed for its dazzling blue lagoon and lush green island, Bora Bora is the most famous island visited but guests will also experience the lesser-known islands of Taha’a and Raiatea, two islands sharing one lagoon where black pearls are grown in the nurturing waters and where some of the best vanilla in the world is produced. The Haumana Cruise operates from April to October each year, and you can choose to travel from Bora Bora to Raiatea, or vice versa.

Polynesian Crew
Push aside any preconceptions you may have about ‘cruising’ – the Polynesian crew are warm and attentive and their aim is to ensure that you enjoy a relaxing cruise, doing as much or as little as you please, whilst exploring these majestic islands and their surrounding lagoons in all their glory. Proud of their culture and history, your hosts create a refined and memorable cruising experience, bringing to life the incredible colours, stories and personality of their beautiful island nation. With them, you will share the Polynesian way of life in an intimate and friendly atmosphere.
Cabins
Haumana’s 11 cabins are spacious and stylish, each one featuring a queen-size bed, an ensuite, air-conditioning, TV and DVD player as well as a picture window with panoramic ocean views! The two Ninamu cabins are situated on the main deck, close to the dining area, whilst the 9 Mahana cabins are located on the accommodation-only middle deck. Wrapping around the front of the middle deck is Haumana’s shining star – the exclusive Panoramic Fetia Suite. With plenty of space to soak up the panoramic views from your king-size bed and relaxing seating area, this is an ideal choice for guests celebrating their honeymoon or a special occasion!
Life onboard
At just 36 metres, the Haumana is small enough to explore bays and beaches, with a range of water-based activities available to get you into and onto the mesmerising lagoons including kayaks, paddle-boards and snorkelling gear. Get up close and personal with sting rays, reef sharks and a myriad of tropical fish – or simply laze under a palm tree with a good book and an astonishing view! The Haumana also has a relaxing lounge onboard and a fabulous sundeck – the perfect spot for a sundowner! Meals are served in the dining room or on a motu (islet), with a focus on fresh, local produce from the land and the sea. A highlight has to the Poisson Cru – Tahitian raw fish ‘cooked’ in lime juice and coconut milk. In the evenings, enjoy a cocktail on the upper deck accompanied by the sound of the ukulele and the gentle lapping of the lagoon as you learn about Polynesian tales and traditions whilst getting to know the friendly crew and your fellow guests.
Cruise options
Haumana operates two cruises, each 3 nights in duration. On Mondays, the boat departs Bora Bora and makes her way to Raiatea, arriving on Thursday. The journey from Raiatea to Bora Bora departs on Thursday, with disembarkation in Bora Bora on Sunday. Each cruise takes you to the idyllic lagoons of Raiatea, Taha’a and Bora Bora, with plenty of time to explore the motus and take part in activities in the water and on land, including an excursion to discover a pearl farm and vanilla plantation on picturesque Taha’a. All meals, non-alcoholic beverages and selected wines are included.
