Moose Hotel & Suites, Banff

Each of the 174 rooms and suites at the Moose (as the locals call it), offer simple yet very comfortable living spaces and bright, clean bathrooms, in which you will find locally made and deliciously smelling amenities from the Rocky Mountain Soap Company. The one- and two-bedroom suites offer families and groups travelling together a little extra space, with small kitchenettes and gas fireplaces. For couples, the Superior Hotel Rooms are the perfect mountain abode; each with a small seating area and dining table.

With downtown Banff on your doorstep, there's no risk of going hungry while staying at the Moose. The hotel itself is home to Pacini, an Italian bistro-style eatery which is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Guests at the Moose can order room service from Pacini throughout the day. If you fancy dining out, we recommend the neighbouring Whitebark Café for a grab-and-go coffee, the Wild Flour Bakery for the best grilled cheese sandwich in town and the Bear Street Tavern for a fun evening meal with a local buzz and fabulous food. For those with a sweet tooth, your trip to Banff wouldn’t be complete without a visit to Mary’s Popcorn Shop or COWS ice cream.

The Moose’s location and mountain lodge style provides the perfect base from which to explore Banff and the southern end of the Rockies. All guests have access to complimentary Roam bus passes, a hop-on-hop-off service which goes to the majority of the must-see locations in the area. The Bow River and adjacent valley trail are within a few minutes’ walk from the hotel and the surrounding mountains offer endless opportunity for adventure whatever time of year you are visiting. One of our favourite things about the Moose is its rooftop hot pools, the best spot in Banff to unwind and reflect on the incredible natural beauty surrounding you in every direction. There is also a small indoor pool, fitness centre and the Meadow Spa & Pools, just in case you’re in need of some post-mountain pampering.
