They also have a Kuda Mas Kids Club which offers a complimentary daily programme of sports, crafts and games for 4-12 year olds.

The exquisite, frangipani lined promenade leads directly to the accommodation, all of which has been constructed by local craftsmen using traditional materials and techniques, ensuring a true sense of place. The thatched Beach Pavilions and Beach Bungalows fringe the island, just steps from the ocean – and all feature a private plunge pool (the Family Beach Bungalows have an adjoining study, ideal for small children). Set on stilts over the turquoise lagoon, the Water Bungalows (some with private pools) offer uninterrupted views of the sparkling Indian Ocean, and all offer direct access to the water from their private deck. The fabulous new Sunrise and Sunset Water Villas with Pool are now open and available.

The unique & award winning Island Spa is a haven of tranquillity set on its own secluded isle, just a minute’s sail by dhoni (traditional Maldivian boat) across Kuda Huraa’s lagoon. The seven overwater treatment pavilions enable you to feel at one with the ocean whilst you indulge in your choice of a variety of pampering treatments , all of which use 100% natural products. The relaxing massages draw on ancient healing traditions – and complimentary group yoga classes are also available every morning and evening.

When it comes to junior pampering, Kuda Huraa tops the bill! Children as young as six can sail by dhoni to the Island Spa to enjoy treatments from The Kuda (‘little’ in Maldivian) Spa menu – an innovative selection of island inspired therapies that sees them blending their own essential oils and ‘activating’ lava shells.

The resort has four superb restaurants and each of their magnificent settings befits the inspiring menus. Relax at a table in the sand, settle into an oceanfront pavilion or perch above the lagoon on a torch-lit terrace. There is also a sunset lounge and a swim-up poolside bar, as well as a huge freshwater infinity edged swimming pool (and half metre children’s pool), a watersports centre and fitness facilities. For children aged 4 to 12 years, the Kuda Mas (‘small fish’) Club keeps the young guests entertained with an activity programme which includes Maldivian creative crafts such as coral painting and palm leaf folding, fun beach games, island exploration walks, crab races and cooking classes.

Surrounded by over 30 spectacular dive sites, Kuda Huraa is the perfect place to discover the amazing multi-hued reefs that lie beneath the waves. The resort’s dedicated surf school is run by professionals from Tropicsurf of Noosa in Australia and they offer classes for experienced surfers as well as lessons for beginners. The surf school offers fun lagoon classes for children as young as six, while a special waiver from PADI means that budding divers as young as eight can take courses in the lagoon instead of the swimming pool – there can’t be a better place to learn to dive! You will enjoy easy take-offs and long rides in some of the world’s most consistent and warmest swells - then head to the Surf Shack to store your board, watch the latest surf movie or just hang out! The best waves occur all year round for beginners and from April to October for experienced surfers.

Kuda Mas Kids Club offers a complimentary daily programme of sports, crafts and games for 4-12 year olds. Activities include junior yoga and spa sessions, snorkelling with a Marine Biologist, cooking classes, kite-making and palm-leaf folding.

This resort also offer surf lessons (from age six), lagoon diving courses (from age eight), dedicated junior and family spa experiences, marine talks, coral reefscaping, baby turtle conservation activities, windsurfing, waterskiing (skis for six years and above), fishing, dolphin-watching cruises, shark snorkel safaris, kayaking, cooking classes, table tennis and excursions. Staff will also arrange table tennis and pool games, look after children while parents swim or accompany snorkellers who prefer not to venture out alone.
