Fairmont Mayakoba, Mexico Riviera Maya
Situated within 240 acres of tropical forest and crystal clear waterways, Fairmont Mayakoba is one of three hotels in the Mayakoba complex, known as Venice of the Caribbean. The stunning white sand beach at Fairmont Mayakoba is reached via a pathway across the mangrove and gentle dunes.
401 rooms and suites make up this beautiful resort. Choose from Fairmont Rooms in the main building or the sunning Casitas scattered throughout the tropical forest, alongside the lagoons or on the pristine beachfront. The way the resort is spread out means it really doesn't feel as large as it is. All rooms and Casitas are spacious with lots of natural light, luxurious bathrooms have a deep soaking tub with separate shower and you'll enjoy a furnished private balcony or terrace.
There are four great restaurants to tempt your appetite with menus created by acclaimed Head Chef Richard Sandoval. Enjoy all day dining at La Laguna, beachfront eats at Brisas, Latin-Asian fusion cuisine at El Puerto and tapas style dining at El Lobby lounge. More casual, grab & go dining is available at Cafe Maya, located poolside serving ice cream, pastries, sandwiches and barista coffee all day.
The 37,000sqft state-of-the-art Willow Stream Spa features 20 treatment rooms including a unique couple's suite in the treetops, two mineral pools and steam rooms. Offering a variety of treatments, some incorporate indigenous ingredients and ancient native traditions, as well as Mayan-inspired signature experiences.
There are 5 swimming pools throughout the resort including a 10,000sqft freeform pool complete with waterslide. Explore the miles of nature trails on foot or by bike, enjoy scenic boat tours along the waterways, non motorised watersports, tennis and golf at El Camaleon. The fitness centre at Willow Tree Spa is an amazing space complete with electronic cardiovascular equipment, free weights and on demand studio classes from the media wall in the aerobics studio.
Book a private Mayan serenade boat tour! Couples embark on their journey as dusk approaches. Pillows, artfully positioned for maximum comfort, candles and regional flowers set the stage to travel to another world, that of the Mayan storytellers of long ago, full of mystery and romance. While guests enjoy beautiful vistas of the Mayan forest and colourful birds, the Tatich-ha (lancha guide) recounts tales of forbidden love and how in the end, love prevails over all obstacles, even time and space.
The kids club is open daily for children aged 4 to 12 years old. Learn to speak Spanish, make traditional crafts and have fun in a safe environment. Three hours of supervised activities are included each day. Older kids will love the Teen Room by Playstation.
Interconnecting rooms can be guaranteed in most categories for a small surcharge per day. Complimentary amenity kits for babies & tots include an Ollie the Otter stuffed animal, no-tears hair wash, cleansing soap, toothbrush & paste, bubble bath and gentle lotion.
