Jumby Bay Island, Antigua
A 300-acre private island, Jumby Bay is located just two miles north of Antigua. The resort is only accessible by boat, making it one of the most desirable and exclusive private retreats in the Caribbean. An ancient coral reef first discovered by Christopher Columbus in 1493 and claimed by the British in 1632, Jumby Bay Island takes its name from "jumbie," Antiguan colloquial for "playful spirit."
Each of the 40 rooms and suites beautifully combines luxury with tropical elegance. You will find all of the amenities you would expect, such as fine Italian linens, a Bose sound system and Nespresso coffee machines, as well as complimentary Wi-Fi. For the ultimate escape book one of the exquisite Private Villas or Residences. Villas are slightly smaller and more intimate, whilst the individually designed Residences offer extensive grounds, magnificent living spaces, large private swimming pools and numerous bedrooms - they are perfect for groups or couples looking for complete privacy and plenty of space.
With four restaurants and bars there is plenty of variety from casual dining at the Pool Grill & Bar to fine dining at the glamorous British Colonial-style Estate House, built circa-1830. Recently restored, The Estate House includes a main restaurant as well as the 1830 Bar, three new private dining rooms and a wine room. The menu combines classic dishes with modern island flavours... the Monkfish and black trumpet casserole is delicious! The Jumby Bay Veranda is the heart of the resort and guests can enjoy breakfast, lunch and dinner here daily, as well as the weekly White Night Beach Barbecue Party which is not to be missed!
Recreational activities include three tennis courts, a variety of watersports and a well-equipped fitness centre as well as three miles of trails running throughout the island's tropical, level terrain. Every guest room, suite, villa and residence comes with its own bicycles, the perfect way to explore the island!
The Jumby Bay Spa offers a variety of treatments inspired by both the West Indian and African cultures. Therapists use oils derived from local, natural ingredients such as coconut, lemongrass and aloe to encourage relaxation of the mind and body. There are three main pools on the island with attendants to see to your every need, from providing sunblock and the latest novels to read, to refreshing Jumby Bay amenities such as chilled towels, iced fruit and delicious homemade sorbet!

The excellent all-inclusive plan means that everyone is catered for all day, everyday.
