This delightfully relaxed and stylish retreat nestles amidst some of New Zealand’s most stunning scenery in the heart of the Marlborough Sounds. Allowing a maximum of 34 guests at any time, the spacious one, two and three bedroom apartments are set on a hillside and boast uninterrupted views of the surrounding blue waters and native bushclad hills. Access is via a 30 minute boat transfer from Picton, and getting here is part of the fun! Extend the regular 30 minute water taxi ride by opting for a half day gourmet cruise or an enchanting dolphin-watching cruise.

Hidden away in the watery labyrinth of the Marlborough Sounds and only accessible by boat, this serene and tranquil retreat feels a world away from the every day. Built to maximise privacy and bring the outdoors in, each apartment has its own private deck which flows from the living and bedroom areas – and bi-fold windows in the bedroom(s) which take full advantage of the magical setting... look out for dolphins playing in the water below! A real emphasis has been placed on using materials such as cedar and copper to blend with the natural surroundings – and each apartment also has a fully equipped kitchen with laundry facilities.
Dining at the Foredeck Restaurant is a romantic experience with wonderful water views and sublime cuisine, whilst Bight Café – a popular hang-out for local boaties – sits over the water right on the jetty. Try the fresh local produce such as green shell mussels and succulent salmon – accompanied, of course, by fine Marlborough wines!
The resort is perfectly positioned for being able to enjoy one or more sections of the acclaimed Queen Charlotte Track - with or without a guide. Kayaks are also provided and guides can be arranged for kayaking too. Dolphin watching trips are an absolute highlight here! If you'd like to get close to nature, head into the bush or find a hidden bay and listen to the call of the local birdlfe. the Other facilities include a fresh-water swimming pool and the Miritu Spa.
