The lodge itself is the best in Borneo with spacious, contemporary chalets raised above the riverbank and connected by walkways (often utilized by some of the resident orang-utans). They are bright and welcoming offering fantastic lodgings in the rainforest. Some are set by the river and a couple even have a hot tub on their outside decks.

The restaurant serves up tasty, hearty meals, perfect for keeping energy levels up with all the early starts, swimming and jungle trekking. There is an outside decking area beyond the restaurant and bar with spectacular views across the river to the forest.

The lodge also has one of the best canopy walkways in Asia, set high above the forest floor offering a unique perspective of the jungle canopy which is ideal for bird watching early in the mornings.

If you are looking for the ultimate way to experience Borneo’s precious, rare and unique rainforest this lodge is the best way to do it and is more than worth the asking price.
