- Sandat Glamping Tents, Bali
Sandat Glamping Tents, Bali
Just a 10 minute drive from central Ubud and surrounded by jungle and rice fields, Sandat Glamping offers a twist on the usual boutique hotel.
Sandat Glamping Tents
Here you can stay in one of five tents, each built by local craftsmen with its own individual décor, pitched securely amid the paddy fields, and boasting its own private pool shaded by palm trees. Three eco-friendly coconut-wood lumbungs are more permanent traditional-style buildings, placed around a lovely shared pool. The décor is distinctly un-camping-like, with huge, proper beds, Regency chairs, chandeliers glass and wooden doors, and hardwood floors. There are also ceiling fans, air-con, mini fridges, iPod docks, and WiFi. Pretty much everything you'd hope to get in a hotel, but inside the mesh windows and canvas walls really do make you feel like you are camping.
The on-site restaurant is inside a dramatic alang-alang roofed building, and boasts a communal table and a wall mounted with framed mirrors - it has a cosmopolitan, Italian feel. Due to the small number of rooms, meals are set, rather than à la carte. However it is so close to town that if you prefer more choice – Ubud has a wealth of delicious restaurants to choose from.
Sandat Glamping Tents are a unique and glamorous way to camp. A way to enjoy nature without missing out on any of the luxury of a five-star resort. A unique and enchanting way to see another side of the magical Island of Bali.
There is plenty to do in this part of Bali. Take a tour of the local temples, beautiful surrounding countryside, fruit and coffee plantations or you can pop off to see a traditional dance performance, go mountain bike riding, or, if you've got the energy, fit in some white-water rafting. At the end of the day cool off in your private plunge pool.
