Good news has finally come today as a decision was finally made at 10pm last night, 20th April 2010, by airlines and the National Air Travel Services (NATS) to lift the blanket ban on the airspace above Britain.
Our advice to all passengers stuck abroad is to contact the airlines locally and do everything you can to get yourselves on the first available flight home. You must register yourselves on wait lists and revalidate your tickets once a flight has been allocated to you but this should been done by the airline when you call them – if you are not sure this has been done please ask the airline when you speak to them. Unfortunately we are not being permitted to do this for you. They are generally working in chronological order starting with those who have been stuck since Thursday but some of the scheduled flights are also flying. The advice is to contact your airline before going to the airport to make sure that your flight has not been cancelled.
We are currently calling all of our clients stuck abroad to inform them of this and giving them the relevant phone numbers and any other assistance possible.
Please feel free to contact us if you need any more help on 01494 678 400 and we will do everything we can to help.
Thank you again for your patience in this matter and we really hope you have still managed to enjoy your holiday or honeymoon.
