Growing up I didn’t travel far but from the first moment I heard of a gap year, I knew this is what I was going to do. That year quickly turned into three, and after living in Australia and Canada as well, I realised I had spent more time travelling than I had ever done in my career as a lawyer, and it became perfectly clear, travel was the industry for me – now I can’t imagine working anywhere other than Turquoise.
I love exploring new cultures, understanding how people live differently from me and learning how to travel with the lightest footsteps in the most authentic way, plus adding in a little adventure along the way. The places travelling and Turquoise have taken me are more than I could ever have imagined, from drinking fantastic wine in an Argentinian vineyard, sat touching distance from Orca’s on Vancouver Island, being a beach bum in Mauritius, paddleboarding on Lake Geneva, snorkelling with turtles in the Maldives, trekking Machu Pichu, eating tapas in Seville and hiking mountains in New Zealand. Each experience was so fulfilling and opening up the world and creating experiences that give our clients these lifelong memories is what makes working at Turquoise such a dream.
