Seen by many as the last paradise on Earth, The Islands of Tahiti undoubtedly offer an authentic South Seas experience. It’s a group of 118 islands which conjure up a thousand postcard pictures: lush forested peaks rising out of the azure ocean, overwater bungalows snaking over the turquoise lagoons and rainbows of coral and fish beneath the surface. Of course, the islands are most associated with honeymooners and couples but in truth, Tahiti’s astounding natural beauty is tropical bliss for everyone, a patchwork of exotic landscapes you’d be hard-pressed to find anywhere else on the planet. Combining two or more of Tahiti’s islands is essential for a more wholesome glimpse of this dreamy location and we’d wholeheartedly recommend an island-hopping holiday.
