My first proper dip into travel came when I was 17, visiting Costa Rica and Nicaragua on a school trip of a lifetime. One day, while taking a rest in Monteverde Cloud Forest Reserve, a hummingbird buzzed around my face, as curious about me as I was about it – the ‘wow’ moment that got me hooked on travel. I’ve had itchy feet ever since, exploring different corners of Europe, Canada and most recently Borneo and Singapore for my honeymoon.
After crafting my trade in local news and then as a wordsmith for Wanderlust travel magazine, I now help bring the Turquoise team’s passion for people, landscapes, places and all things travel to life through the medium of words, in turn inspiring Turquoise travellers to have their own adventure!
