After The Turquoise Holiday Company started in 2002, we quickly realised that while there were plenty of companies selling honeymoons, no one really specialised in them. That was our niche and became the foundation for the many successful years that were to follow.
Those early years were all about developing the Turquoise Holidays brand as well as the business. All of our quotes were embossed with a wax seal (until the fumes of hot wax became unbearable in the office!) and our managing director, James Bell, hand-delivered each honeymoon quote with a red rose and bottle of champagne. Our reputation as honeymoon specialists blossomed from then on and, 17 years later, honeymoons still represent a significant wedge of our business. We’ve sold over 10,000 to date!
With our roots in mind, we’re delighted that we’re still being recognised for the unforgettable honeymoons we continue to deliver for our newly wed clients. The latest accolade is being nominated in the ‘Best Honeymoon Provider’ category for the inaugural Bridelux Awards 2019. Bridelux host some of the best wedding shows in the country, so it’s an honour to be nominated by people who really know their stuff in the wedding industry.
