It’s another working week done in lockdown and while that Friday feeling may have been dampened due to a lack of things to do during the coronavirus pandemic, it doesn’t mean we can’t still celebrate the weekend arriving. There’s no better way to kick off the weekend than having a refreshing cocktail, especially one that transports yourself you to the sun-soaked shores of Mauritius.
We can’t think of many better places to enjoy a cocktail than the serene sands which front The St. Regis Mauritius Resort. To help bring you a bit closer to its beaches its bartenders have revealed the recipe for one of its favourite cocktails – the Negritta – so you can make it at home. Enjoy!
30ml fresh pineapple juice
15ml fresh lemon juice
15ml sugar syrup
10ml egg white
2ml orange bitter
- Add all of the ingredients to a cocktail shaker with ice cubes and shake well.
- Double strain the mixture and pour in an old-fashioned glass over ice.
- Finally, garnish with a fresh orange wheel, fresh mint sprig and edible flowers.
