The Honeymoon was bliss. I struggle to find words to describe how truly wonderful the whole experience was. I was so tearful on the day we had to leave…Jonathan even offered to leave me there and come back to the UK to work so he could pay my stay! How sweet. 🙂
The service was outstanding. The Atoll and facilities 5* all the way. We went on the Sunset Dolphin Cruise and on an Island hopping excursion where we got to see another resort and a local Island. Baros is by far DIVINE. I am raving about it to everyone.
We relaxed, sunbathed, snorkled, drank cocktails, enjoyed the bands who came to play, LOVED the different restaurants (especially the Lighthouse) and the food experience evenings they put on. It was all WOW. I constantly flick through the photos so not to forget a second of the 2nd most amazing experience in my life to date. I know Jonathan too loved it. He is not ‘big’ on swimming (crazy you say considering we booked an Island honeymoon) but he took to the water like a duck and thoroughly enjoyed the snorkeling, as did I.
The weather was fantastic whilst we were there, 30+ deg each day (and night!).
Apparently it had rained for 4 days solid before we arrived so we were truly blessed. After the preparations for the wedding, having 8 family members living with us for two weeks over the wedding period….we DESERVED this!
I am also planning to send the hotel a short email to convey our appreciation for making our stay so special and for their outstanding service. They also gave us a complimentary romantic dinner on the beach for the honeymoon, which was exquisite
