It is also one of only a few spas in the world to offer Alepa therapy, which draws directly on ancient Indian bathing rituals. Guests begin by relaxing in the hammam, before applying therapeutic mud preparations to the skin. The brightest time is generally from January to March, when rainfall is at its lowest and temperatures are at their highest.

The Rehendi Presidential Suite, which has the feel of a completely self-contained private residence and boasts 450 sq metres, comprising a living room, master bedroom with his and hers bathrooms, a guestroom and an expansive sun deck with two salas for relaxing and dining. The 60 sq metre infinity pool perches on stilts over the water and offers superb views – as does the glass-walled bathroom.
