The new solar panels, plus those already installed on every resort building roof, now produce enough energy to power all guest villas during the peak sun hours, saving more than 260,000 litres of diesel per year. The ocean benefits too, with the platforms carefully positioned over the sandy seabed rather than any coral reef, they provide shelter for juvenile fish and invertebrates.
