Hotel Kia Ora Resort

Rangiroa (from Ra’iroa, literally meaning ‘huge sky’) gets its name from its great length, measuring 75kms from east to west and 25kms from north to south. It is the largest atoll of The Islands of Tahiti and boasts an immense turquoise lagoon dotted with tiny islets (motus) encircled in a reef crown. Dotted along a stretch of white sand on the north side of Rangiroa's vast lagoon, Hotel Kia Ora Resort & Spa boasts an elegance and refinement unsurpassed here.

Sleep

The resort’s 60 villas and bungalows are scattered throughout the coconut grove, along the beach and over the shimmering lagoon. Pool Villas and Suites are contemporary havens of space and privacy, with an outdoor bath and private pool in the pretty central courtyard. Beach Bungalows enjoy far-reaching views across the expansive lagoon, each with a private pool on the deck, whilst a handful of bungalows sit over the lagoon for a classic Polynesian experience.

Eat

At Te Rairoa, dine on delicious Polynesian dishes overlooking the pool and endless lagoon or go gourmet at overwater Te Poerava before enjoying a nightcap at Miki Miki Bar. Savour delicious dishes using classic Tahitian ingredients such as coconut milk, pineapples, and Rangiroa honey.  Rangiroa is also home to the world's only wine made from grapes grown in a coral atoll. With a backdrop of palm trees, the winery is a unique spot! Dominique Orowa, from Normandy, began producing wine in Rangiroa in 1992, and after a few years of hard work and experimentation, the atoll's first wine was produced in 1999. Annual production is around 40,000 bottles, so this is a rare wine!

Play & Pamper

Surrounded by some of the most spectacular diving in the world and a plethora of great snorkelling spots. Explore the coral life and enjoy the watersports offered by the hotel, with a wide range of facilities that have been designed to orchestrate the best experience of the Tuamotu islands. Unwind in Poekura Spa’s rain shower after a heavenly massage in the heart of the coconut grove. Before sunset, enjoy a boat trip to the nearby Tiputa Pass and marvel at the dolphins enjoying a splash and a jump in the waves where the ocean meets the lagoon.
