Moorea, Islands of Tahithi
Located in the Windward group of the dramatic Society Islands, the stunning island of Moorea has it all. A 30 minute ferry crossing or 15 minute flight from Tahiti, the island boasts truly breathtaking scenery with mountains which almost leap out of the turquoise lagoon, white sand beaches, lush vegetation, terrific scuba diving, great walks and a pleasantly unhurried pace of life. It is hardly surprising that Moorea is so popular with artists and lovers of beauty.

View ItineraryBest time to visit Moorea
May to October is our favourite time to visit Moorea, with warm days and lower humidity making it a lovely time to explore both the lagoon and the island’s lush mountain interior. There’s generally less rainfall during these months, ideal for snorkelling, boat trips and walks to panoramic viewpoints. November to April is warmer and more humid, with tropical showers keeping the hills beautifully green, though you can still enjoy sunshine between downpours.
Moorea highlights
Where to stay in Moorea
Moorea’s lagoon provides a beautiful setting for thatched bungalows, whether tucked into tropical gardens, beside the beach or perched over the water. Choose an overwater stay for swims straight from your deck, or a garden bungalow for a little more privacy, with the island’s dramatic green peaks completing the picture.
Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort
Sofitel Kia Ora Moorea Beach Resort sits along the island’s longest and most beautiful white sand beach with far-reaching views towards the island of Tahiti, and with Moorea’s lush green peaks forming a dramatic backdrop.
Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea
Located along a stretch of white sand on the island’s magnificent north coast, charming Manava Beach Resort & Spa Moorea is just a 10 minute drive from the airport, 15 minutes from the ferry landing and within easy reach of Moorea’s breathtaking Cook’s Bay.
Hilton Moorea Lagoon
Nestled between Opunohu Bay and Cooks Bay on Moorea's north coast, Hilton Moorea enjoys a spectacular setting with a lush green mountain backdrop leading down to the crystal clear waters of the lagoon.
Explore, dream, discover and embrace ...
