Shinta Mani Angkor is a sophisticated upscale boutique hotel in central Siem Reap. The location, on a quiet side street around ten minutes from the centre of town is an ideal base to explore. With 115 rooms, this luxury property has taken aspects of Khmer traditions and created a unique, striking and contemporary feel. And it’s all about style at the Shinta Mani. Hotel architect-designer Bill Bensley has created an eclectic and very chic boutique hotel. The entire property is carefully colour-coordinated in black, white, brown and orange tones. The polished concrete hallways are lined with large canvasses of contemporary Khmer art and there’s space for sculptures and antiques. The rooms are all kept in black and white, including the artwork on the walls and the incredible photographs of Angkor ruins by Martin Reeves, dark-wood furnishings and cleaver lighting.

The property is divided into three wings: the Bayon Wing has spacious Rooms, Junior and Executive Suites with garden access or views of the large pool from upstairs balconies. Opposite, the Angkor Wing houses Superior and Deluxe Rooms surrounded by leafy gardens and a narrow pool. Boldly styled Bensley Collection Villas come with their own gardens, private pools, private transfers, fast track immigration on arrival and one day exploring Siem Reap with your Bensley Butler, who is there to cater for any needs from unpacking and packing your luggage to arranging ad hoc requests.
