Nestled on the protected North Sound of Virgin Gorda in the British Virgin Islands, Bitter End Yacht Club is a world-renowned seaside resort and water sports paradise, lovingly established since 1969. It is reachable only by boat, giving it an exclusive, island‑outpost feel treasured by sailors, adventurers, and families alike.
Despite being devastated by Hurricanes Irma and Maria in 2017, the resort has risen from the ashes with a thoughtfully rebuilt marina, over‑water bungalows, and refreshed amenities. Celebrated for its vibrant community spirit, Bitter End Yacht Club blends its storied past with modern enhancements like a marina lounge, Clubhouse dining, and Water Sports Centre.

Tucked along the tranquil shores of Pelican Beach, the Beach Bungalows provide a secluded escape with stunning 180-degree views of the glittering North Sound. Inspired by Bitter End’s original 1970s cottages, these eco-friendly timber retreats blend indoor comfort with open-air living.
For something truly special, choose the iconic cantilevered overwater bungalows perch serenely above the North Sound, each two-storied with its own deck and direct access to the waters below.
Across all room types, you’ll find thoughtful touches and crisp linens, vintage Caribbean style décor, and an easy‑going ambience that captures the laid back spirit of the British Virgin Islands.
The Marina House is a spacious four bedroom dwelling overlooking the resort’s anchorage, enjoying dramatic North Sound views and natural trade wind breezes.
