The exact meaning of an unusual honeymoon depends on your idea of one, whether that's the destination itself or the type of experience you want. You might still want to chill on a pristine beach but want a change of scenery to the likes of the Maldives or Mauritius. Fiji combines beautiful beaches with fascinating culture, while Oman boasts great beaches in an authentic Arabian setting.
If you're after something completely different, then we adore the idea of road tripping across the likes of New Zealand, Australia or California, or you can trek through the rainforest in search of mountain gorillas in Rwanda. If you'd rather just dip your toe in the unusual side of the honeymoon, then we'd suggest splitting your time between a unique honeymoon destination and something a little more familiar – our personal favourite is Sri Lanka and the Maldives!

Sri Lanka combines a captivating culture and lovely landscapes with excellent beaches, while St. Vincent & the Grenadines is an off-the-beaten-track paradise in the Caribbean. In the Indian Ocean, Réunion is packed with adventure and in Africa, Botswana is a fantastic option for a safari that doesn't get the limelight that the likes of South Africa, Tanzania and Kenya do.

While none of the hotels and resorts we work with across our unusual destinations are exclusively all-inclusive, many do offer all-inclusive, should that meal plan interest you. The one exception is The Islands of Tahiti, where no hotels offer an all-inclusive meal plan.
That really depends on where you're thinking of going! The cost of a unique honeymoon can differ wildly, depending on the destination, length of time you're going for and what kind of activities (if any) you want to organise in advance. Get in touch with one of our unique honeymoon specialists and they'll be able to give you more advice and a better guide price in line with your ideas.
Again, it all hinges on where you're thinking of going on your unusual honeymoon. As a guideline, the destinations we've suggested above (St. Vincent & the Grenadines, Sri Lanka and Réunion) are all great for a spot of winter sun, typically enjoying their best patches of weather between November and April.
