Bora Bora Honeymoon

At Turquoise Holidays, we are proud of our reputation as the world’s most romantic holiday company, and from our many years of honeymoon experience, we can whole-heartedly declare Bora Bora honeymoons to be the most romantic island in the world.

Bora Bora Honeymoon with Turquoise Holidays

Even its name (which was originally Pora Pora but Captain Cook misheard the gentle Tahitian accent and so it became Bora Bora) conjures up images of tantalising kisses in the soft surf, beach picnics on deserted islets and the heady scent of frangipani and hibiscus around your sun-drenched day bed before the French Polynesian moonlit night works its magic under the starry skies.  This isn't a dream, this is your Bora Bora honeymoon!

If the heavenly combination of turquoise lagoons, lush green mountains, snorkelling, diving, chilled cocktails, sunshine, white sand beaches, palm trees and the all-important overwater bungalow experience strikes a chord with your honeymoon desires, then you should look no further than this idyllic corner of French Polynesia. You can depend on Bora Bora to work her magic!

Top Tips for your Honeymoon to Bora Bora

1. Arrive by helicopter. Many of the resorts have their own heli pad and the vista that awaits you will set the scene for the rest of your honeymoon.

2. Invest in the most romantic overwater bungalow you can afford. Nothing beats sleeping over the turquoise waters of Bora Bora. For maximum impact, we recommend checking into an out-of-this-world overwater villa at The St Regis Bora Bora or Four Seasons Resort Bora Bora – both offer bungalows with private plunge pool on deck and direct access to the lagoon below with stunning views of Bora Bora’s iconic Mount Otemanu.

3. Arrange for your breakfast to be delivered to your overwater bungalow by outrigger canoe. Breakfast in bed will never be the same again.

4. Picnic on a deserted motu (islet) with Tahitian speciality Poisson Cru (raw fish marinated in lime juice and coconut milk) washed down with a chilled Tahitian beer or a glass or two of something sparkling.

5. Have a massage just for two. The spas at the Four Seasons and St Regis offer some of the best spa experiences in the Islands of Tahiti, whilst the the South Pacific’s first thalassotherapy centre can be found at Intercontinental Thalasso's Deep Ocean Spa where the signature treatment uses mineral-rich deep sea water drawn from depths of over 900m.
