SLEEP

Eichardt’s is a Queenstown icon! Opening its doors way back in 1867, it is now a seven-suite luxury hotel offering an experience akin to staying in a beautiful country retreat. Supple leather sofas, soft cashmere throws and plump velvet cushions (from the hands of renowned New Zealand interior designer Virginia Fisher) create a refined air of opulence and luxury.  The dreamy suites are spacious havens adorned with every creature comfort, and each comes with a fireplace and dressing room. For sensational views, we love the Lake View Suites but the Mountain View Suites are equally elegant and charming. For more space and a little independence, Eichardt’s also offers One and Two Bedroom Lakefront Apartments – just steps away from the hotel and right on the shoreline. Across town, just a 10 minute walk away, The Residence is a gloriously indulgent three-bedroom, three-floor apartment. But Eichardt's shining masterpiece has to be the exquisite Penthouse with two sumptuous bedrooms, a large open-plan living area and expansive deck overlooking Lake Wakatipu, complete with hot tub!

EAT

The Grille, with its long bench seats, overstuffed chairs and comfortable sofas, is the perfect place for a leisurely breakfast as well as offering fresh, local creations for lunch and dinner.  Popular with guests and locals alike since the 1860s, Eichardt's Bar remains a Queenstown institution and a firm favourite. Serving tapas from lunch until late, as well as a selection of cocktails, local beers and Otago wine, this is the place to be seen in town! Sitting at the end of the Mall, the buzz of Queenstown is right on your doorstep – from the stunning alpine scenery to the many cafés, bars, restaurants and shops as well as a vast array of adventure activities.

PLAY & PAMPER

Despite being located in the heart of town, Eichardt's exudes an air of exclusivity. Continuing this essence of luxury and sophistication outside the hotel walls, there's a wide range of fabulous activities to enhance your Queenstown experience. From a breathtaking private helicopter flight over the Southern Alps and fishing for crayfish off the West Coast to a table for two in a remote glacial valley and a private wine tour around the many local vineyards. Other activities include guided hiking, world class mountain biking and 4WD farm experiences. During the winter months, Queenstown tranforms into ski and snowboarding heaven, including the chance to experience untouched powder on private ski fields, snowshoe across some of New Zealand’s most pristine natural landscapes or dog sled along towering mountain passes.
