Beaches, Vineyards & Lakes

New Zealand has a reputation as an adventurer’s paradise – and it is, but there’s more to this small and perfectly formed country than adventure, a lot more. From snow-capped mountains to deep blue lakes, from hidden beaches to lush green rainforests, with fabulous accommodation, outstanding cuisine and fine wine along the way, New Zealand has it all!

  • New Zealand - The Boatshed Exterior

Days 1-4 The Boatshed, Waiheke Island

On arrival into Auckland, take the 40 minute ferry ride to food and wine heaven: Waiheke Island. You'll spend 4 luxuriously stylish nights at The Boatshed just minutes from the beach and a short walk to the delightful cafes and shops in nearby Oneroa village. Spend the next few days doing as much or as little as you choose. Relax on the fabulous beaches, take a tour of the island, wander around the many artists' studios or sample some fabulous wine at the plethora of Waiheke Island's vineyards.

Stay: 4 nights at The Boatshed

  • Days 5-7 Little Tom's Cottage, Hawke's Bay

After taking the ferry back to Auckland, you'll fly to Napier - the gateway to the Hawke's Bay region. Collect your car and head to Little Tom's Cottage, an immaculately restored shepherd's hut nestled between the Tuki Tuki River and Te Mata Peak. Picture yourself lazing in your al fresco bath whilst soaking up the breathtaking views with a glass of locally produced wine from one of the many Hawke's Bay vineyards. For those looking for a little more action, there's hot air ballooning with fantastic views over Te Mata Peak and beyond, championship golf courses, penguin viewing, walking and cycling trails plus Napier's Art Deco scene to check out to name but a few activities in the area.

Stay: 3 nights at Little Tom's Cottage

  • Days 11-14 Bay of Many Coves Resort, Marlborough Sounds

Fly south to Blenheim today where you'll be met and transferred to Picton Marina to board your water taxi to the serenity of the Bay of Many Coves Resort, only accessible by boat! Spot dolphins from your private balcony, take a kayak or paddle board out onto the calm, sheltered waters, hike into the hills behind the resort, hear the natives birds - or simply grab a coffee from the Bight Cafe and soak up the views and the fresh clean air! If you're feeling active, you can join part of the Queen Charlotte Track - one of the country's 'Great Walks' - and if you're feeling in need of some pampering, head to the hillside Miritu Spa for a relaxing treatment amongst the native bush.

Stay: 3 nights at Bay of Many Coves Resort

  • Sofitel | Queenstown | Exterior
