Superbly poised between the foothills of the Plaine Champagne and the dreamy Indian Ocean in the south-west corner of Mauritius, Heritage Le Telfair sits on the site of the former sugar estate of Bel Ombre – one of Mauritius’ finest estates with a history that dates back over 200 years. This luxurious, yet inviting, retreat is a member of the prestigious Small Luxury Hotels of the World portfolio.
A beautiful lagoon, lush tropical gardens, a pristine beach and the gentle flow of the Citronniers River all combine to provide a rare taste of paradise.

Each of the 158 suites features highly polished wooden floors, ceiling fans and generously proportioned 19th century-style bathrooms. Soft, warm, muted tones enhance the timeless elegance whilst providing a fresh new, contemporary design still with Le Telfair's much loved and distinct colonial facade. For the ultimate indulgence, couples can soak up the sun with a quieter ambience around the adults only pool staying in a one of the Junior Suites or Senior Suites which boast wide four-poster beds enhanced by translucent linen drapery.. Housed in twenty villas of six or eight suites each, Le Telfair’s exquisite accommodation is dotted amidst the tropical gardens, with wonderful French windows which spill out onto verandas with awe-inspiring sea or river views. Your butler is on call 24 hours and will happily arrange a romantic rose-petal bath with Champagne at your request! Families can share a Deluxe Suite or go for two inter-leading suites to give more space for larger families.
