Happy New Year Lara.

First of all, thank you for all of your help in booking the trip - it's one of the best holidays we've had, of it's type and for what we paid, with the extras which were included, represented good value for money.

Casa de la Flora

•The airport pick-up and drop-off were exceptionally smooth and efficient with cold drinks and towels - a great start
•Overall, we found the resort quite stunning and the build quality very high. As you know, we had been concerned that it might be a little squashed/compact, but in fact the layout was perfect and the landscaping very attractive. The rooms felt very luxurious and comfortable.
•We particularly liked the studio pool villa for its complete privacy and the light/brightness of two walls being glass (we got the one we asked for and were very pleased we looked at the resort map). The beach front rooms had fabulous views, but were considerably less private. The amenities and the level of cleanliness were very good
•The staff were, on the whole, very good, some exceptional
•We thought the breakfast offering in the restaurant was excellent - both European and Asian-style - consistently the best food on offer during our stay. We only ate Thai food in the evening, which was well presented, with good quality ingredients, but a little inconsistent.
•Having the fridge in our room restocked with drinks every day was lovely and we really appreciated the plentiful supply of drinking water and fresh fruit.
•The spa treatment we had was very good and the spa area very pleasant.
•Location - very handy for walking into town - lots of restaurants and a local market. Direct access to a quite narrow part of the sandy beach, which stretched for miles - great for walking.
•Staff to guest ratio very high - especially as occupancy was not high when we were there.
•As we knew, the resort does accept children, but the designer pool does look a little less chic when occupied by small people wearing water wings!

Nowhere is perfect, but for us, the positives of the resort far outweighed any small negatives and it was obvious by the speed at which any minor problems were put right, that Casa de la Flora really does care about its guests - a point admirably demonstrated when I hurt my leg; the thoughtfulness and kindness shown to me was exemplary. Also, Nick was presented with a cake for his birthday and all of the staff had been briefed to wish him a happy day.

It's one of the most luxurious-feeling, relaxing holidays we've had and we'd have absolutely no hesitation in recommending the resort.

Zanzibar was paradise. White sand, turquoise sea, blue sky and palm trees. Breezes was beautiful. We were overjoyed when we arrived. Our evening flight was delayed but the restaurant stayed open just for us and we had a scrummy three course meal. Every night the restaurant was decorated differently and it was a nice touch to have table service alternate nights too. We treated ourselves to private dining on the beach and had lobster, which was out of this world. One evening there was a bonfire on the beach and we lay on a sunbed gazing at the stars. There are power cuts every evening, which turned into a joke for us as we tried to guess what time they would happen. They're only for a minute or so and happen about three times a night. Staff are polite and friendly, the spa is amazing (there is a special Sultans Bath where you have a rose petal bath and massage for two), and we went on a spice trip and visited Stone Town with it's rich slave trade history. It's just brilliant. We've now adopted the phrase Hakuna Matata and as soon as we say it we're transported back to Zanzibar!  read less

What a honeymoon! Wow, we had a totally amazing time and smile everytime we think about it.

We definitely made the right decision about where to go. One of the best things about being on safari is that you're totally cut off from the world with no TV, radio or newspapers. Just what we needed!

Ol Seki is wonderful. We were so lucky, as it's out of season we had the whole camp to ourselves so enjoyed a personal chef and personal game drives. Made everything even more special. The camp had been taken over by new owners about six weeks before we arrived and the manager Geoff couldn't do enough to keep us happy. Geoff and the assistant manager dined with us most evenings (5* food) and we had so much fun with them. Our driver David was phenomenal. We saw all the animals (except the rhino). Our favourites were the lion, leopard, giraffe and elephants. We had a private dinner by our tent (which was so luxurious), a massage and went to the local village to see the masai. All the staff at Ol Seki were so polite and friendly and it felt like home from home. We saw elephants while we were eating breakfast and heard lions as we slept at night. We could go on and on about how fabulous it was (you get a hot water bottle every night) and would totally recommend it.

Mark and I are incredibly grateful, and feel privileged to have dealt with such a professional and insightful travel company. Clearly you understand your clients, and match very carefully their hopes/needs with your portfolio of resorts.
