The only way to reach Ninh Van Bay is by boat from the bustling seaside resort of Nha Trang on Vietnamís beautiful southern coastline. The setting is sublime with dramatic mountains covered in verdant forest tumbling down to a striking curve of golden sandy beach which is flanked by large smooth granite boulders. The sea here is some of the clearest and calmest in Vietnam which you share with a just a few other guests and a handful of local lobster fisherman in their traditional coracles. Sweeping views and glorious sunsets further complement the idyllic setting which makes Ninh Van Bay one of our favourite hideaways in Asia.

Just 58 spacious and uncompromising pool villas are set along the beach, scattered over the hillside or perched on the ubiquitous granite boulders right by the water. They are designed to complement nature and have an appealing rustic, barefoot style without sacrificing on luxury or modern amenities, built using reclaimed polished teak and featuring beautiful hand crafted wooden bath tubs. The fantastic Rock Pool Villas are a Turquoise favourite, each with a different layout determined by the shape of the rocks they are built on, including their large private pools which are scooped and moulded into the boulders. The Water Villas are closer to the main resort area and are also set on or around the rocks but are slightly smaller than the Rock Pool Villas. They are built on the edge of the water, perfect for snorkelling enthusiasts! Hilltop Top Villas face the mountain ranges of Nha Trang and offer majestic views of the East Vietnam Sea while the large Beachfront Pool Villas have their own gardens and of course direct access to the beach.

The restaurants at Ninh Van Bay are set on the jetty or on the rocks. Relaxed for lounging on day beds, or for gourmet dinners with tasting menus, the world class food and wine includes local Vietnamese dishes, east meets west specialties and international menus. Most ingredients are sourced locally or grown at the resort in its organic gardens, fabulous for fresh Vietnamese herbs and fruit. The wine cellar (set up in a cave in the rocks) has wines from worlds old and new and the bar serves boast a comprehensive menu of cocktails and mocktails which will last long after sundown!

Indulgent and locally inspired treatments at the signature Six Senses Spa ensure complete relaxation and rejuvenation and with energy fully restored you can choose from a range of water sports, diving and snorkelling over the reef in the calm, clear waters of the bay, tennis, a fully appointed gym and trekking on nature trails through the beautiful mountains. The options to venture beyond the resort are enticing with opportunities to go shopping in Nha Trang, visit beautiful waterfalls, cultural exchanges in traditional villages and even motorbike adventures into the mountains.
