Authentically Polynesian with rustic charm, Bora Bora Pearl Beach Resort & Spa enjoys an enviable location, with one of the best views of Mt Otemanu. Located on ‘Motu Teveiroa’ in Bora Bora’s idyllic lagoon, this stylish retreat enjoys the exclusivity of being the only resort on this beautiful islet which is just 10 minutes by boat from Bora Bora airport. There is something very magical about approaching this tiny island from the water, especially at dusk, when the lanterns are flickering and the evening sky is aglow with yet another breathtaking sunset.
Thatched bungalows reflecting a traditional Polynesian ‘fare’ (home) are dotted throughout the lush, flower-filled gardens, along the pristine beach or over the sparkling lagoon. The garden pool suites are particularly unique and offer ample space to relax. The outside sundeck leads into a stylishly Polynesian bedroom with an indoors/outdoors ensuite complete a refreshing outdoor shower (no bath). There is also a garden pavilion with relaxing daybeds.
The delightful beach suites open directly on to the white sands and enjoy stunning views across the turquoise lagoon to Mount Otemanu. These suites also have a small enclosed garden courtyard where there is an outdoor jacuzzi which blends seamlessly with the rest of the bathroom to create a naturally integrated indoors/outdoors feel. The spacious bedroom leads out to an open living area which leads directly on to the beach.
Each of the exquisitely Polynesian overwater bungalows offers direct access to the lagoon from a private sundeck with a freshwater outdoor shower. The lagoon’s colourful aquatic life can be viewed through the glass bottom coffee table – which has a sliding top so that you can feed the fish below! The ensuite has a separate shower and bath – and even in the bathroom, the glass table tops look into the lagoon! The 30 premium overwater bungalows enjoy the best views of Mount Otemanu and the surrounding lagoon.
Dine in style at Tevairoa, with views across the lagoon, or tuck into homemade burgers at poolside Miki Miki and savour a cocktail at Taurearea Bar. You can also experience a traditional Polynesian show, performed under a starry night sky.
Realising the fragility of coral in Bora Bora’s beautiful blue lagoon, the resort worked in partnership with marine biologist Denis Schneider to create a coral nursery amid the overwater bungalows. Since the creation of To’A Nui, over 70 species of fish and a colony of 4000 corals have thrived in these perfect ecological conditions… so grab a snorkel and discover the myriad of beautiful corals and colourful fish in this unique environment.
With plenty of space on this large private motu, leisure facilities include tennis courts and a mini-golf course, as well as a pretty pool with lagoon views.
For relaxation Bora Bora style, the heavenly Manea Spa is blissfully tucked away in the tropical gardens and boasts single and double treatment rooms, an open-air Vichy shower, steam rooms, saunas and a fitness room. There's even a resident tattoo artist if you want the spirit of Polynesia to really get under your skin!
