Located on ‘Motu Teveiroa’ in Bora Bora’s idyllic lagoon, this stylish retreat enjoys the exclusivity of being the only resort on this beautiful islet which is just 10 minutes by boat from Bora Bora airport. There is something very magical about approaching this tiny island from the water, especially at dusk, when the lanterns are flickering and the evening sky is aglow with yet another breathtaking sunset. The resort offers 20 garden pool suites, 10 beach suites and 50 overwater bungalows. The garden pool suites are particularly unique and offer ample space to spread out and relax. Care has been taken to recreate the feeling of a traditional Polynesian thatched ‘fare’ (home) – and each suite is set in an enclosed tropical garden with a plunge pool. The outside sundeck leads into a stylish double bedroom with an indoors/outdoors ensuite which has a refreshing shower (but no bath). There is also a gardenavilion with relaxing daybeds. The 10 delightful beach suites open directly on to the islet’s white sands and enjoy stunning views across the turquoise lagoon to Mount Otemanu beyond. These suites also have a small enclosed garden courtyard where there is an outdoor jacuzzi which blends seamlessly with the rest of the bathroom to create a naturally integrated indoors/outdoors feel. The large bedroom has a kingsize bed, and this leads into an open living area, which in turn, leads directly on to the beach. Each of the overwater bungalows offers direct access to the lagoon from a private sundeck(where there is also a freshwater outdoor shower). The lagoon’s colourful aquatic life can be viewed through the glass bottom coffee table – which has a sliding top so that you can feed the fish below! The ensuite has a separate shower and bath – and even in the bathroom, the glass table tops look into the lagoon! The 30 premium overwater bungalows enjoy the best views of Mount Otemanu and the surrounding lagoon. There are two restaurants and bars - and on several evenings a week, a traditional Polynesian show is performed. Leisure facilities include a large freshwater swimming pool, a tennis court and complimentary use of kayaks, outrigger canoes and snorkelling equipment. 4WD island safaris, shark and sting ray feeding and lagoon fishing trips can easily be arranged. The heavenly Manea Spa nestles beside a lake in the heart of a tropical garden and boasts single and double treatment rooms, an open-air Vichy shower, steam rooms, saunas and a fitness room.
