The dry season runs from June through to November, where the game concentrates itself around the main water sources, leading to some inevitable clashes of character! The short rains then fall between November and December, where downpours are quickly replaced with hot sunshine. January and February dry up before the long rains in April and May. Some people are put off by the rains but actually it is a beautiful time to visit, the scenery is fantastic, perfect for photography, and also benefits from being much quieter than the peak seasons.
