Tanzania offers honeymooners a trip of a lifetime. Whether you want to combine bush and beach or even a bit of culture, Tanzania has it all. But most importantly why is Tanzania such a special destination for honeymooners? Tanzania offers honeymooners the opportunity to experience a traditional safari experience. Forget hotels and hordes of people, you might as well go to the zoo! A traditional safari experience is about being out in the wilderness, and with your private car and guide you can head off into more remote parts of the National Parks in search of game.
No matter what time of year Tanzania always has something going on. The dry season runs from June through to November, where the game concentrates itself around the main water sources, leading to some inevitable clashes of character! The short rains then fall between November and December, where downpours are quickly replaced with hot sunshine. January and February dry up before the long rains in April and May. Some people are put off by the rains but actually it is a beautiful time to visit, the scenery is fantastic, perfect for photography, and also benefits from being much quieter than the peak seasons.
The Islands of Zanzibar, Mafia and Pemba, located off the east coast of Tanzania, offer newly weds a honeymoon to remember. The clear waters and pristine white sandy beaches are the perfect place to unwind after all the organization of the Big Day. But there are beautiful beaches all over the world, and some a lot closer to home, so why come to Tanzania for a beach holiday? We find that honeymooners want to do something different and go to a location they’ll never forget. So it is important that as well as a gorgeous beach there are also other factors that will keep the trip etched in your mind.

Being so close to the equator, temperatures in Tanzania are fairly constant throughout the year, although the rainy season in April and May is best avoided. The hottest months are January to March when the animals are attracted to the waterholes (and the young are being born in the Serengeti). June to October brings the dry clear weather whilst November and December (hotter months again) generally bring the short rains, although you can still enjoy good game viewing. |
