Tanzania Honeymoons
Tanzania offers honeymooners a trip of a lifetime. It is phenomenal to think that one country can offer such an incredible safari experience, whilst also owning one the world’s most beautiful coastlines. Whether you want to go on a traditional safari or would rather go to a beach paradise, or both, a honeymoon in Tanzania and Zanzibar allows you to choose. This diversity makes it different to other Africa countries, making it ideal for honeymooners looking for something unique and personal.
Game viewing
Tanzania has some of the best game viewing in Africa; attractions like the Great Migration and Ngorongoro Crater give it the fame it deserves and quite rightly, too. These really are must-see attractions and everyone must see them once in their lifetime. What better time than to do it than on a luxury honeymoon to Tanzania? Also, you’ll get the chance to see Africa’s ‘Big Five’ (elephant, lion, buffalo, leopard and rhino)!
The coastline
Honeymoon and Zanzibar are two words that belong together; Zanzibar’s clear waters and pristine white sandy beaches are the perfect place to unwind after a wedding, or a safari. It seems only natural that once your safari dust has settled, you should head to the relaxing soft white sands of the romantic Swahili coast or the spice islands of Pemba and Mafia on your honeymoon, whose very names alone conjure the whispered promise of something exotic and romantic.
British summertime
Wildlife viewing is excellent between July and October. This is the dry season, which is a fantastic time of year to travel. The game viewing is rife, the scenery is stunning and the atmosphere is exciting. It is also a very good time to visit the coast – it is at its peak this time of year, which works perfectly for summer honeymooners!
Accommodation
Tanzania boasts an incredible selection of accommodation, from luxurious lodges to mobile tented camps, Tanzania has it. So whether you want adventure or relaxation, or a combination of both – Tanzania can make your dream safari honeymoon come true.
Mnemba Island
If you really wanted somewhere with a real ‘wow’ factor, you could consider Mnemba Island – one of Tanzania’s most exclusive properties!
Top Tanzania resorts
Fanjove Island
Fanjove Island has long been an exceptional jewel in East Africa's Indian Ocean crown. Exquisitely located in the little-known Songo Songo archipelago off the eastern coast of Tanzania, Fanjove epitomises Robinson Crusoe desert island seclusion.
Kuro Tarangire
Kuro Tarangire is set in perhaps the best, yet most understated locations in Tanzania - Tarangire National Park. Amid a grove of Acacia trees on the banks of the Tarangire you will find the luxurious Kuro Tarangire.
Serengeti Safari Camp
The annual wildebeest migration is the largest mass movement of land mammals on the planet and this small intimate mobile tented camp closely shadows this event, ensuring that you are as close to the wildebeest as possible.
Entamanu Ngorongoro
Spectacularly set on the wild side of the Ngorongoro Crater rim, this unique intimate camp is the only place where you can watch the sun rise over the iconic Ngorongoro Crater and the sun set over the vast Serengeti plains.
Lamai Serengeti
If you were to visit only one place in the Serengeti, it should be here! This small intimate tented camp is widely recognised as offering one of the best locations in the Serengeti.
