The Datai, surrounded by verdant rainforest on an unspoilt stretch of beach on Dalit Bay in the north of Langkawi. Rayavadee at the end of buzzy Railey Bay, surrounded by striking limestone karts, and beautifully landscaped with charming gardens to create a sanctuary in this picturesque region of Thailand. Unlike modern new resorts, they have the benefit of space and were able to spread out; newer hotels tend to be shoehorned into smaller plots of land.
