Vietnam's Beaches
With over 3,000 kilometres of coastline and palm-fringed islands, Vietnam offers plenty of choice for a beach escape. Nha Trang combines excellent seafood, nearby Cham ruins and island boat trips, while Six Senses Ninh Van Bay offers a quieter retreat among rocks and rainforest. Around Hoi An, sandy beaches sit within easy reach of the historic town, ideal for combining cultural exploring with relaxation.
Off the southeast coast, Con Dao pairs broad beaches with forest trails, cycling and rewarding snorkelling and diving. Its protected marine habitats support sea turtles and rare dugongs, while the islands’ poignant history adds another dimension to a stay.
Near Cambodia, Phu Quoc offers tropical beaches and easy flight connections from Ho Chi Minh City. Despite its growing popularity, quieter corners remain, with beachfront hideaways such as Chen Sea Resort offering a peaceful end to a wider Vietnam journey.

Best time to visit Vietnam's beaches
The best time to visit Vietnam’s beaches depends on the coast. Hoi An generally enjoys warm, sunny weather from February to August, with summer temperatures around 30°C or higher. Nha Trang and Ninh Van Bay benefit from a longer sunny season, usually extending into September. Autumn brings heavier rain to the central coast, with a risk of storms and flooding, particularly around Hoi An.
For Phu Quoc, November to April generally offers the best combination of sunshine and calmer seas. May to October is warmer and more humid, with heavier showers between sunny spells.
Con Dao is particularly appealing from March to May for swimming, snorkelling and boat trips, while February to July generally brings the clearest diving conditions. Turtle nesting provides another reason to visit between April and October, although summer sees more rainfall.
Where to stay in Vietnam's Beaches
Six Senses Con Dao
This rustic, yet luxurious tropical retreat is on the smallest island in the Con Dao archipelago and has been protected for decades as a national and marine park. Con Dao is a little ‘off the radar’ but just a short flight from, and the perfect antidote to, the frenetic pace of Saigon. National Geographic laud this idyll as one of the top eco lodges in the world – true sustainable luxury!
Zannier Bai San Ho
As tourism in the well-trodden hot spots of Vietnam is developing at a rapid rate, Zannier have found a very special remote location on Vietnam’s Central Coast, where you’ll discover the beautiful Zannier Bai San Ho. Immersion in the culture of the region is at the top of the agenda here and no-where else in Asia blends luxury of a resort with the charm of the surrounding landscape and local life as well as here. We love it, and it is fast becoming a regular feature on any Turquoise journey through Vietnam for those seeking authentic, off-the-beaten track experiences.
Six Senses Ninh Van Bay
This envy-inducing eco-chic resort is set in a sublime bay accessible only by boat – dramatic, smooth, granite boulders frame a picture perfect crescent of golden sand. You share the sea here with just a few other guests and a handful of local lobster fishermen in their traditional coracles. This is a total escape from reality.
Explore, dream, discover and embrace ...
