Luxury Oman Holidays
Oman is a land of extraordinary contrasts, where vast desert, rugged mountains and wild coastline surround cities and villages shaped by centuries of trading, seafaring and Bedouin culture. Muscat sets the tone, with its low-rise skyline, grand mosque, waterfront forts and labyrinthine Mutrah Souq, before the landscape quickly opens into something altogether wilder.
Head into the Hajar Mountains for Jebel Akhdar’s dramatic gorges, terraced villages and cooler air, stopping at historic Nizwa along the way. Further east, the dunes of Wahiba Sands invite nights beneath huge desert skies, while turquoise wadis offer natural pools and unexpected swimming spots between the mountains. Musandam feels different again, with steep peaks falling into deep blue inlets best explored by boat. Further south, Dhofar and Salalah bring frankincense, tropical greenery and a completely different climate. Oman rewards exploring beyond the resort, combining adventure, culture and some truly extraordinary places to stay.

Beyond The Beach
Journey from Muscat into the Hajar Mountains, through hidden wadis and across the dunes of Wahiba Sands before reaching Oman’s wild coast, combining culture, adventure and extraordinary places to stay along the way.
Best time to visit Oman
October to April is generally the best time to explore Oman, with warm days and more comfortable temperatures for Muscat, the mountains, desert and coast. Jebel Akhdar is cooler year-round, with its famous rose season arriving in spring, while autumn brings pomegranates and olives.
From June to August, lowland temperatures can rise above 40°C, making extended outdoor exploring more challenging. Southern Oman is the great exception: Salalah’s Khareef season runs from roughly mid-June to September, when mist and light rain transform Dhofar’s mountains and plains into an unexpectedly green landscape.
