Hidden in a small village just outside Playa del Carmen, Viceroy Riviera Maya is a seaside refuge extending deep into the primitive Maya tropical forest. This 41-villa luxury resort is the epitome of unpretentious luxury. You will be personally welcomed upon arrival with a cool towel and traditional drink before being led through the tropical forest paths to your villa.

The palapa-roofed bohíos, or villas, are sophisticatedly decorated using natural materials throughout; louvered-mahogany doors and windows, sisal rugs and canopy beds with hand-stitched Egyptian cotton linens. Bathrooms are spacious with indoor and outdoor showers and his-and-hers sinks and closets. Signature villas and above also come with a large bathtub. The luxurious villas all have a heated plunge pool in a private courtyard garden, complete with hammock and day bed.
