This charming manor is a true oasis, blending a fascinating mix of history as well as a real sense of home. The house dates back 180 years, owned for six generations of a prominent Colombo Chetty family, playing host to Mahatma Gandhi, and various Prime Ministers and Presidents over the years. Oh the stories these walls could tell! Located just thirty minutes from the international airport, you have Negombo’s beaches, restaurants and bars on your doorstep, whilst enjoying a serene environment to unwind in, whether this marks the beginning or end of your travels. There are just seven bedrooms in the manor house, overlooking courtyards or gardens, with spacious verandahs overlooking the coconut plantation and a few steps away, the 12 metre swimming pool beckons for a refreshing dip.

Each of the seven rooms at Uga Riva feature king size beds, air conditioning and ceiling fans, en-suite bathrooms with walk-in showers and outdoor living and dining space. Located within the original manor house, some overlook the gardens whilst others centre around the courtyard. The décor complements the heritage features of the building, with local artwork adorning the walls, terracotta floors and restored antique furniture adding to soul of the manor. The premier suite is nearly double the size of the deluxe and superior rooms, with a separate living space and private garden with sunbeds offering a peaceful sanctuary all of your own.
