Tucked away on its own private cove, Sea Dragon Lodge on Kangaroo Island is an intimate boutique lodge with just thirteen suites and villas, each enjoying breathtaking views of the turquoise ocean and stunning beach. Within the 250 acres, guests are invited to explore and immerse themselves in this spectacular haven, home to native wildlife, including kangaroos, wallabies, possums, echidnas, and goannas. Avid bird watchers will see a variety of birdlife, including the endangered Glossy Black Cockatoo. Dolphins and seals regularly swim past the beach, which guests often see when walking on the many trails throughout the property and along the coast to Cape Willoughby Lighthouse.

Sea Dragon’s 18 rooms, suites and retreats combine bright, contemporary interiors with local artwork and beautiful views over Pink Bay. Each has a private deck or patio, where you might spot Tammar wallabies grazing as evening falls. Deluxe Ocean View Rooms have a small sitting area, while larger Superior Ocean View Suites offer two indoor sitting areas. For extra space and privacy, the Luxury Ocean View Retreats feature two bedrooms, two bathrooms, generous living and dining areas and a sheltered outdoor bath overlooking the ocean. Solar electricity and the use of collected rainwater reflect Sea Dragon’s thoughtful approach to its natural surroundings.
