Sausage Tree Camp

Set beneath the ancient trees of Zambia’s Lower Zambezi National Park, Sausage Tree Camp has been a safari favourite since it first opened in 1996. Created as one of Zambia’s original luxury bush camps, it has a wonderful sense of place, combining classic safari style with the wild, untouched feel of the Zambezi Valley.

Its location on the banks of the Zambezi makes the camp particularly special, with the chance to explore this rich wilderness in every way, from private game drives and walking safaris to boating and canoeing along the river. Private guiding is guaranteed, allowing each safari to be shaped around you, whether you’re tracking wildlife on land or drifting quietly along the water.

Back at camp, the beautifully understated bush-chic style and attentive Muchindas (private butlers) create a wonderfully personal experience. It’s a place where exceptional service, spectacular wildlife and the magic of the Zambezi come together effortlessly.

Sausage Tree Camp has just seven beautifully designed tented suites, plus the spacious Kigelia Family House, making it an intimate and exclusive place to stay. Each accommodation has been thoughtfully designed in classic bush-chic style, with generous living spaces, private plunge pools and sweeping views over the Zambezi River. The Family House is ideal for families, offering plenty of space and privacy while still enjoying all the service and safari experiences the camp is known for.
