Spread across three glorious acres of luscious gardens, the Kings Pavilion hotel is a serene oasis which enjoys beautiful views overlooking the Hunnasgiriya and Knuckles mountain range. A residential area in the suburbs of Kandy, just a 10 minute drive away from the bustling town centre, Kings Pavillion is the perfect base from which to explore this fascinating region of Sri Lanka. Combining a contemporary style with Kandyan arts and culture, from the elaborate batik wall hanging which adorns the entrance to the photographs and paintings depicting Kandyan dancers in all of the rooms - we love the ecletic style of this boutique hotel.

Kings Pavilion’s nine beautifully appointed rooms and suites are each named after a different area of the Kandy district, creating a subtle connection to the region’s rich heritage. Contemporary in design yet unmistakably Sri Lankan in character, the interiors combine clean, elegant lines with warm natural materials, locally sourced handmade furniture and thoughtful touches inspired by the island.
The rooms have been designed to make the most of their elevated setting, with a choice of ground-floor accommodation offering more generous outdoor space, while the first-floor rooms benefit from wonderful panoramic views across the surrounding landscape. It is a lovely setting in which to start the day with a morning coffee or unwind in the evening as the light fades over the hills.
