The name ‘Angama Mara’ was inspired by the Swahili word for ‘suspended in mid-air’ – each of the spectacular suites hangs suspended off the edge of the escarpment, with vast floor-to-ceiling glass walls which take full advantage of the breathtaking 180 degree views. As a guest, you can enjoy the wonders of safari from your indulgent suite – sit back and relax with an ice cold G&T on your expansive deck and watch the wildlife come to you. You will often see eland, zebra, giraffe and impala meandering past. Every detail in the suites has been exquisitely considered – from the oversized bed, the luxurious stand-alone bath, the rocking chairs on your deck, the crystal gin and whisky carafes to the old school coffee table books, the delicious macadamia nuts and Kenyan tea and coffee! The bold, striking design reflects the traditional Maasai colours of red and blue.
