The Best Honeymoon Destinations in May

We’re heading for summer in the UK in May and likewise in beautiful Bali. The best time to have a honeymoon in Bali is from April to October, making it perfect for newlyweds who are looking for a mix of beach, culture and a chance to explore Bali’s lush, beautiful interior. The Seychelles, while smaller and not as culturally rich as Bali, have a similar natural vibe. A May honeymoon is great time for a spot of luxury island-hopping, as the seas have calmed following the winter rains.

Equally enticing would be a honeymoon in the South Pacific. Fiji has 330 islands so you can easily play Robinson Crusoe on a number of idyllic islands. Go island-hopping through the Yasawa or Mamanuca groups, discover deep blue lagoons and picture-perfect stretches of powder-soft white sand. For wildlife-lovers, a honeymoon in May is fabulous in South Africa’s malaria-free Madikwe Game Reserve – there’s no rain and it’s not too hot to get out on long game drives. Then dust down your safari legs on the beaches in Mauritius or discover the pristine coastline and barefoot African chic of Mozambique.

Don’t forget to check out the details of our Honeymoon gift list service, which allows friends and family to contribute towards travel experiences as well as the more traditional gift list items, all in one place. A complimentary service for all Turquoise honeymoon couples and looked after by a full time team, it’s just one of the ways we can ensure your dream honeymoon, becomes a reality.
