The Westin Monache Resort

In the heart of Mammoth Lakes village, The Westin Monache Resort reigns supreme. Although a large property, it is a brilliant hub from which to explore the Sierra Nevada mountain range in all its glory, whatever time of year you visit. Located just a few steps from the gondola, skiers and boarders will be first on the lift to enjoy endless bluebird powder days. During the summer, hikers and bikers can stroll (or roll!) out of the front door, straight onto the hundreds of kilometres of mountain trails, connecting hidden forest lakes, mountain passes and incredible viewpoints.

SLEEP

For summer stopovers and short stays, the Deluxe Studio Suites offer plenty of space, comfy living areas, enormous king-size beds and private kitchenettes. If travelling with little ones, the One or Two Bedroom Suites offer a little bit more room to run around and spread out. For those planning a longer stay, perhaps during the winter months for skiing or snowboarding, we recommend couples opt for the One-Bedroom Suite and families the Two-Bedroom or Two-Bedroom Luxury Suite. Sleeping up to six people, the Two-Bedroom Luxury Suite offers a very spacious living area, gas fireplace, full kitchen and floor to ceiling windows boasting mesmerising mountain views.

EAT

The Whitebark restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, providing happy guests with a great mix of international and Californian dishes,  contemporary flavours and locally sourced ingredients. The all-day in-room dining service is very popular, especially in the winter season amongst weary mountain lovers looking to kick-back and relax after a day of fresh-air-fun. All rooms at The Westin Monache Resort have their own kitchenette or full kitchen, a great facility for families of all ages.

PLAY & PAMPER

Mammoth Lakes is one of North America’s finest adventure destinations and The Westin Monache Resort lies at its heart. The sublime snowy winters and stunning sunny summers mean that whatever your season, your activity, your passion or your interest, you can do it here. The hotel itself is every adventure seekers best friend, with ski valet, equipment rental, secure bike storage and underground parking, all on-site. If the surrounding mountains don’t quite hit the spot, the WestinWORKOUT Fitness Studio is open 24/7, or for those looking to unwind (and warm up!) the outdoor hot tub and pool area is our favourite chill-out spot. The Westin Kids Club caters for children between the ages of 4 and 12 years old. There is a small fee for children to attend and hours change throughout the year, depending on the season.

guana island
Guana Island, British Virgin Islands

Guana Island is a rainforested bolthole that offers the ultimate in tropical seclusion. It has seven (yes, seven!) pristine beaches and acres of island wilderness that you can explore and enjoy almost all to yourself, bar a few inquisitive rock iguanas and migratory birds. Bliss!
